You must have observed that if you try to learn online casino games on yourself, it takes considerable time compared to if you get any guidance from experienced people.

Online Casino Reports - Where Gamblers Meet I did not know that there is an online magazine and community on gambling. It came as little surprize for me, but after browsing it - I realized that I am pretty late in even coming to know about this cool website. Online Casino Reports is an online casino guide and gambling news magazine. It’s a very good place for all gamblers to meet and share their views. Don’t believe me? Check it out yourself.

Now a days, reading the text is not preferred as much as live or interactive way to deliver the content or news. Thanks to youtube.com! Onlinecasinoreports.com opted a nice way to deliver the news through rich video formats. Rather than reading the gambling reviews online, I would now like to watch and hear someone in video. It’s an awesome feature of this website, I would say.

When you start gambling online, it’s important that you know what are the best places to bet your money at. Whether they are poker rooms or bingo sites; you need to know the reliable places that are recognized by other experienced gamblers as well. Not only you would get loads of useful information here, but depending on your thirst to learn something new in online gambling, you can browse the free gambling tips, and legality information at their online guide section.

Free Poker Strategy Tips

September 13th, 2008 by admin No Comments » Posted in   Gambling Tips, Poker

Poker may be considered an easy game of betting. But, poker strategy tips can prove to be very helpful especially for new players. If you are new, please make sure to read basics of poker game. So, let’s have a look at some of them.

Poker is a game of psychology

It is important to note that poker is more of a psychology game, especially when betting is involved. Hence, it is important to note the way your opponent acts or reacts and, when poker is played face-to-face, your opponent’s body languages. Most of the time, the type of hand that your opponent holds can be found in the way he moves. Most players tend to focus on the hand they are holding and do not look carefully in their environment and their co-players. But making mental notes on how your opponent moves-from his hands to his feet to his eyes-and how he behaves can help you determine if he is holding a strong or a weak card.

Art of Bluffing

It is important for a player to master this technique as, most of the time, this strategy misleads your opponent and confuses his efforts of reading you. Unfortunately, bluffing is a strategy which can be mastered only after thousands of poker games. Upon mastering this skill, the player should also be able to determine when is the best time to open, to check, to see, to raise or to fold.

Ability to be Flexible

Another helpful poker strategy is the ability to be flexible wherein the player can make favorable adjustments to his game. Firstly, the player should be able to identify what type of player each of his opponents is. Loose players are usually the ones who stay on the game in spite of the weakness of their card. They usually continue to bet heavily in a manner which they see as bluffing. The uptight players, on the other hand, are the ones who usually fold all the time. They are often considered passive players. This kind of players only bet generously when they are very confident with the cards they are holding.

Although there are a number of poker strategies in which a player can immensely benefit, these are better learned and understood when one is an active participant of poker games. A long-term participation in any game of poker not only polishes your knowledge of the rules, but more so, of the strategies and techniques needed to become a guaranteed winner.

Basics of Three Card Poker

July 1st, 2008 by admin 1 Comment » Posted in   Poker

Three card Poker is played with a 52 card deck and is played between a dealer and a single player.

The player and dealer are each dealt 3 cards which are placed face down. The object of the game is for you to get a higher three card poker hand than the dealer. An important rule that people must remember when playing three card poker is regarding the hand ranks. In three card poker a straight is higher than a flush because there are fewer ways to make a 3 card straight than a 3 card flush.

There is little strategy and absolutely no bluffing involved in this game, which is why I said at the beginning that it is a game for the beginner. The main decision in this game comes when the player first looks at the cards he is dealt. Here he must decide whether to fold or to raise. In three card poker a raise means you are paying to see the dealer’s cards.

The minimum hand you must have before raising is at least an ace high with either a king or queen, otherwise one should fold. There is a twist in this form of poker though, whereby the dealer can have a higher three card poker hand than you and still lose the game. It works as follows, the dealer must have a queen high hand or better, or his hand does not count for the game. So theoretically if you are dealt a hand with just a ten in it you could still win the hand. For this twist to happen though, you will have to raise the dealer, so think carefully before raising with a weak hand.

Roulette Basic Rules and Etiquette

June 19th, 2008 by admin 2 Comments » Posted in   Casino Games, Roulette

Normally Roulette has been played in regular offline casinos but today secure casino gambling online has been more and more common whether it is roulette, poker, craps, blackjack, baccarat or other gambling games.

Even though roulette rules are fairly easy to learn, it is important to acquire the necessary knowledge before you go into a casino and start to play. If you are a newbie, this can definitely help you avoid any potential embarrassments or misunderstandings.

Roulette has both rules and etiquette that have to be adhered to. In a game where money is at stake, it is crucial for gamblers to be familiar with these both in real and virtual casinos.

The basic rules of Roulette

  • In Roulette you don’t compete with the other players. The roulette game can hold up to eight players, and each player plays against the dealer only
  • Players buy in and receive chips of a color, different from the other players
  • If you win a spin, you cash your color chip in for a cash chip of a certain value.
  • The “En Prison” rule If you place an even money bet and the ball lands on zero, you can either take back your bet or leave it for another spin. If you choose the last option you put it “in prison” as the jargon is.
  • The ‘La Partage’ rule Like the ‘en prison’ rule this is also due when you place an outside even money bet and the ball lands on zero. Under the La Partage rule however, you lose half your bet and you are not able to leave the remainder in prison, or out for another spin.

Roulette etiquette

  • Your bet must be placed before the spinner or croupier, calls out “No more bets.”
  • Never touch or even attempt to touch your chips after the croupier stops betting
  • When the croupier calls ‘no more bets’ you cannot change your bet.

There are other rules in roulette, but these are the basic. Learn them and you can start to play.

Introduction to Online Roulette

June 11th, 2008 by admin No Comments » Posted in   Casino Games, Roulette

Online Roulette is one of the most famous and played online games. People think that roulette is very tough and complicated which in fact it is not. The fact cannot be denied that the game depends on your part of luck and chance factor. The main objective of the game is to guess where the ball will land on the Roulette table. After evaluating the numbers you can place a bet on the selected number.

There are three main types of online Roulette:

  • American Roulette
  • European Roulette
  • French Roulette

American Roulette- According to this variant a ball bounces on the roulette wheel. The ball is rotated on the roulette wheel and the ball stops on the random number on the numbered slots. The main aim of the game is to make a bet on a number or a group of numbers at which the ball will stop after spinning.

European Roulette- This variant of online Roulette also make use of a wheel and a betting grid just like usual Roulette. A ball spins around the wheel if the ball lands on a particular number chosen by you then you win. As the name suggests the game is based on French style. The wheel has pockets with a numbering from zero to thirty-six.

French Roulette- All the numbers are red in French Roulette. For French Roulette you can also place an even-money bet on red and black. The table for French Roulette is in French language. The whole game of French Roulette bears a French feel to it and the word roulette means ‘little wheel’.

American roulette, wheels have 38 slots with “0″ and “00″. The European wheel has 37 slots with just the single “0″. With the extra zero in American roulette, the house edge is 5.3%, where as with European roulette; the house is just a 2.7%.

Playing American roulette does not makes sense to me when the house edge is almost double – where as European roulette can be played often.

Slot Machines: Most Popular game in Casinos

June 3rd, 2008 by admin No Comments » Posted in   Casino Games, Slot Machines

Do you know guys, today, slot machines are amongst the most popular games found in casinos, accounting for over 30% of casino profit. This is due to a number of reasons.

(1) Slot machines are very easy to play and require no real test of skill or knowledge. A player simply deposits coins into the machine and presses a button. Once the reels stop spinning, the machine will alert the player if the winning combination is struck or not.

(2) There is no pressure to play against or interact with other players as one may do in games such as Roulette, Blackjack, Baccarat and Poker.

(3) There is no risk of someone trying to cheat during the game or of the dealer making an honest mistake during a bet.

(4) There is no time frame for one to make the next move. A slot machine may be played at one’s own pace without the player feeling the need to hurry because someone else is waiting for his/her turn.

(5) The game is played with real money and not casino chips. This makes the game much more exciting in the sense that the player has the opportunity to gamble with real currency.

(6) The payout is instant and can sometimes run into the thousands of dollars, especially if one is playing progressive slots.

For these set of reasons, the slot machine is currently one of the most popular games found in a casino.

Most online Bingo sites provide a chat room. For people who are a little bit on the shy side, chat rooms just may be the answer.

How to Play Blackjack?

April 28th, 2008 by admin 2 Comments » Posted in   How To

Blackjack is one of the most popular card games at any casino, online or land based. You can always find tables full of players all looking to win and play their favorite game at the same time. It is relatively easy to learn, but requires you to remember a few different strategies in order to really take advantage of the game.

Learning The Goal

You have two goals in this game. The first goal is to beat your dealer. You are not playing against the other people at the table, you are playing against the dealer and so is everyone else. The second goal is to do this without going over twenty-one. Too often players believe that they must get as close as possible to twenty-one in order to win. No, you must beat your dealer and do it without “busting”, which is going over twenty-one.

Learning The Play

Once you learn the goals, you must learn the play. The dealer deals cards to each person and themselves, two cards to begin with, generally one up and one down. The play starts at the dealers left and continues on with everyone, ending with the dealer. Play is done in full. In other words, the first person plays until they either bust or stand and then play moves on to the next person, in turn this way until it’s the dealers turn to bust or stand.

Values of The Cards

In playing blackjack, it is important to know the cards and its value, suits mean nothing, the card value means everything. Two through Ten of any suit has face value. A two will be worth two, while a ten is worth ten. Face cards, which are Jacks, Queens, and Kings will be worth ten. The Ace is worth 1 or 11, depending on your hand. A jack and an Ace is known as a “real blackjack”, but any face card coupled with an Ace is recorded as blackjack. However, this is only true if they are the only two cards in the hand.

Learning how to play blackjack means understanding the game and learning the strategies as they apply. Actions such as hitting, means you are taking more cards. Staying means you want no more cards and bust means that you have gone over 21. However, learning blackjack means learning all the rules and terms, more important than this terminology.

Truth Behind Minimum and Maximum Bet Limits

April 20th, 2008 by admin No Comments » Posted in   Gambling Tips

Have you ever thought about the reason behind the existence of minimum and maximum bets? The truth is simple: casinos want your money. As simple as that. So they restrict your possibilities to win.

In any world casino each table, be that roulette, blackjack or poker, features signs clearly defining minimum and maximum rate of bets on a given table. A difference between them can be in 10, 30 or even in 100 times. But nowhere to you will be allowed to multiply your bets without restriction.

Please pay attention, that the very existence of maximum bet limits proves that a system, founded on bets augmentation principle, threatens the success of the casino. Take any table in regular or even on-line casino. For example the one, on which minimum bet is $25, and maximum one is $1000. Why do you think you are not allowed to bet more than $1000 at once? Do you believe they won’t have money to pay out? Or do they fear, that you will win and take your money home? But in VIP-halls of the same casino you can make a bet of $2000 or even $10000! And if you have specially requests you try negotiating with the administration to satisfy them. Most casinos have more than enough resources to meet any bet of yours.

The deal is about the correlation of maximum and minimum bets. So, in case the maximum is set at a $10000, the minimum bet will rarely be less than $250. The idea is to limit your double bets to certain number of times depending on the game. Usually you want be able to double more than 5 times. Otherwise your odd of winning become impermissible high.
